(For example, if I delete a file locally, Backblaze will delete its copy as well). (Another bonus is the encryption key for added security which I've saved into KeepassXC and have saved copies of this database in multiple locations including another cloud service.) Before I pull the trigger, some final questions (I'm sure I'll have more, but these are what I have off the top of my head):ġ) I finally started following the "3-2-1" backup rule so I have two physical copies of my data (and now have the third offsite with Backblaze!) If an external drive (let's sav "drive G" dies), could I simply replace it with the second external drive and just reassign its letter as G and the Backblaze program would be none the wiser?Ģa) I use Syncthing to share files between computers, I was curious if Backblaze operates in a similar fashion. I'm nearing the end of my 15-day trial period, and I have to say that I'm liking it so far! The main selling points of personal backup for me are its relatively affordable price yet still allowing unlimited backup.
